Autoscript Desktop Hand Control for WinPlus-IP

The PGX ProKnob is an upgrade born out of daily production needs for the Autoscript HC-IP Desktop Scroll Control.

CNC-milled from solid material with fine ventilation knurling, the PGX ProKnob serves as a replacement rotary knob for worn Autoscript HC-IP Desktop Rotary Knobs.

During the development of the PGX ProKnob, every detail was reviewed and improved. For instance, the guide track is made from additional plasma-hardened steel, ensuring a smooth, frictionless operation with a distinct zero position even after prolonged use.

To further enhance durability, the standard plastic bearing has been replaced with a maintenance-free, self-lubricating, three-layer metal bearing, specifically designed for compatibility with the shaft material. This makes the PGX ProKnob particularly resistant to tilting, impacts, shocks, dirt, and dust. The anodized surface is almost impervious to sweat, disinfectants, and cleaning agents.

The sensor magnet, optimized and calibrated for the Autoscript sensor in the HC-IP, ensures highly precise motion resolution, enabling especially sensitive control of the speaker’s text. Operators now enjoy even better control over the scroll speed.

Thus, the PGX ProKnob is not only a replacement for a worn original HC-IP rotary knob but also a genuine performance-enhancing upgrade for the HC-IP.
